# First understand where it breaks. Then build.

We walk your floor with you, follow one order from arrival to invoice and tell you honestly what is needed. Sometimes that is software, sometimes a different warehouse layout, sometimes just a better arrangement with a supplier.

## What we help with

Four kinds of assignment. In practice they tend to run into one another, and that is fine.

- **Process analysis** — We follow a single order from arrival to invoice and record where it sits waiting. Queue time, duplicate data entry, corrections after the fact: you get it on paper, with the biggest time savings at the top.

- **[Warehouse design](https://rual.nl/en/warehouse)** — Layout, walking routes, picking strategy and the question of whether conveyors or robots pay for themselves here at all. We design for the volumes you run today and for the volumes you expect in three years.

- **Feasibility** — Does this add up, and on what timeline? We test your plan on technology, lead time and organisation, and we say so when the answer is no. That is a lot cheaper than finding out halfway.

- **Second opinion** — There is a quote, an architecture plan or a supplier who has stalled. We read along, ask the questions nobody asked and give you a verdict with nothing attached to buy.

## When people call us

Almost never asking for advice. Usually with a symptom they can no longer work around.

- The warehouse is full, but turnover has not grown with it

- Every order passes through a spreadsheet three times on its way

- The quote for a new ERP is higher than the entire IT budget

- There is an automation plan and nobody can judge whether it holds up

- The current supplier has delivered nothing for two quarters

- A budget decision is due and the reasoning behind it is missing

- **It usually starts with a warehouse that is full, not with an IT question.**

## What you walk away with

Not a presentation that disappears into a folder after the meeting.

- **Process map** — Your current process drawn out, with the bottlenecks and the time they cost, in the language your own people use.

- **Priority list** — What you can fix yourself next week, what is a project, and what you are better off leaving alone. In that order.

- **Design or blueprint** — For a warehouse: layout, material flow and where any equipment goes. For software: the systems, the integrations and the data flowing between them.

- **Reasoning for your decision** — The assumptions, the risks and the range the investment sits in, so your board, your accountant or your bank can work with it.

- **Advice on the next step** — Including the advice to do nothing for now, or to leave it with your current supplier.

## Advice that is allowed to say no

We build software and warehouses ourselves, so you are entitled to ask how independent our advice is. The honest answer: we have an interest. That is why we fix the price of the study up front, separate from whatever it concludes, and why we say out loud when your current system is simply good enough. A customer who builds something they did not need does not come back.

- A fixed price for the study itself, agreed up front
- The report is yours, even if you go on with someone else
- No sales process bolted onto the advice

## Where our advice comes from

Fifteen years of building in logistics, transport, manufacturing, floriculture and trade. We do not advise on work we have not done ourselves.

- **[We build it afterwards too](https://rual.nl/en/services/development)** — Our consultants are the same people who build the systems and the warehouses. Advice that turns out to be unworkable in practice lands back on our own desk first.

- **[Software and steel](https://rual.nl/en/warehouse)** — We know the ERP side and we know conveyors, sorters and robots. The seam between those two is exactly where things usually go wrong.

- **[Knowledge from research](https://rual.nl/en/robotics)** — For robotics, vision and AI we worked with universities, TU Eindhoven among them, so advice on those rests on more than a demo video.

### Already know what needs to happen?

Then we skip the study. Our team designs and builds the system or the warehouse itself, at a fixed price and live within 6 to 12 weeks.

## Tell us where it is stuck

A first conversation costs you an hour and leaves you with a sharper question at the very least.
